Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles

Blackie is a wonderful 6 year old German Shepherd. He will make an amazing companion to human and canine alike! He was brought into the shelter with another dog( a Labrador) who was adopted. Blackie and the Lab must have been life long companions as Blackie is very distressed by his loss and doesn't understand why he was left at the shelter. While he was at our volunteer's house, he had a bath which he showed his appreciation for by showering her with kisses. They could see the stress start to fade and his eyes relax after his bath and play time with the other dogs. Blackie stayed the night at his rescue parent's house where he fit right in with the other dogs male and female and had no "accidents.". Blackie likes to follow her owners around the house and loves the company of other dogs. He's a very mellow boy who just wants to lay at your feet and follow you while you putter around your house. He will do best as a second dog or in a home where the owners are around most of the time. He is easily content as long as he is with someone or another dog. Blackie has plenty of wags and kisses left for his new owner, won't you be the recipient of such affections?
